Neither Human nor Animal?

To a great extent, this episode deals with my view on the current temporary exhibition Heavenly Beings: Neither Human nor Animal in the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova. This will be done with reference to questions raised in the scholarly field animal studies.

The issues to be raised in the review of this exhibition draw on much more things than the representation and use, or better said abuse, of non-human animals in art. What these issues contribute to discussions of problems like veganism as a business model and, related to that, gentrification, will therefore be enquired as well.
